Student Conferences

We organize student conferences to spread new ideas and programs and to inspire action. They are forums for fresh thinking and peer connection, and springboards for leadership and change.

The conferences are student-led. They connect students from across New England to share their stories and ideas on mental health, student leadership, and a range of school issues. We have run conferences in Bedford, Nashua, Portsmouth, Manchester, Hanover, and New London, NH. Our next conference will be on “AI and Student Voice in the Classroom.”

A Basis for Hope

In October 2022, Safe Schools convened the first ever student-run conference on teen mental health, cyberbullying and school gun violence. The conference was a forum for student voices and fresh thinking. It connected students from across New Hampshire to share their stories and ideas about new ways to improve student lives and school safety.
